Hi.
This is a letter from an tourist resently in Sweden.

""Do NOT use taxis except essential they are not regulated in Sweden and charge lots. Some charge a whole lot more than others but they are all expensive. As a guide expect about three times the fare you pay in the UK at least and around four times a German Taxi Fare for the same distance. More than Denmark but still much less than Norwegian rates.Stockholm in general WARNING - pick pockets, beggars and muggers are everywhere. I travel internationally most weeks and have never seen so much and I got attacked and mugged despite being very streetwise. Fighting back I recovered my watch but lost my phone. The Swedish Police do not care about you as a foreigner, and will try and avoid doing the report / paper work, they will probably not let you make a call and certainly they will not give you access to the internet. A thank you to this hotel who assisted me with these communications.
Every train carriage will have several Roma Gypsie beggars with written begging cards and shake cups at you for money. Ignore them you could get yourself marked as a target. Seen some Somalian girls also trying to look for luggage snatching opportunities. Had I delayed five seconds I would have lost a bag on what was the start of my trip home.
In 72 hours in Stockholm I had one attempted back pocket theft, they got nothing, the mugging referred to above and a train carriage potential attempt on one of my bags. The City is literally crawling with immigrant thieves but some can have Scandinavian help / decoy. Have a spare cheap phone that you use when outside your room, carry just the cash you need and maybe one other card in a separate pocket, leave your wallet in your room. I was never in Scandinavia until November 2011 but have spent about 18 weeks in all in Sweden, Norway and Denmark since then. Transformed by the middle east / african immigrants and Roma Gypsies now flooding in and causing mayhem. Sad to Say I will no longer visit Sweden nor Oslo at all because of the hassle and threats this presents.
